Needles, Moos, and Enchiladas

What weighs 28 pounds, stands on two feet, and moos? If you guessed Bryson, you are right!

I took the kids to the doctor today. The nurses seemed shocked that I would venture out with all 3 kids by myself! Emma and Bryson were both seen today, and overall the appointment went really well.

Emma now weighs in at 33 pounds, and is 39 inches tall. She has steadily remained pretty average in size hovering around the 5o percentile in both her height and weight. She was quite pleased that she didn't need any shots today, and she got to wear a soft green gown which was a little bit like wearing a nightgown. Both things she attributed to being 4 (along with any other thing that makes her feel very grown up).

Bryson weighs 28 pounds 7 ounces, and he is 35 1/2 inches tall. He is in the 50 percentile in his weight, and the 75 percentile in his height. For comparison sake, Bryson weighs about the same now at 2 years that Emma did at 3 years! He was quite disgruntled to discover that he was getting a shot today. It was a booster that he should have gotten at his last appointment.

Bryson is very good at communicating. He can make several noises or sounds, such as a "moo". However, he makes very few actual words. I brought it to the attention of the doctor. The doctor didn't seem overly concerned, but he did give me the number for early intervention. I will be calling later this week to see what the speech therapist has to say.

You are probably wondering about the enchiladas? Well, since it is Cinco De Mayo, we are having them for dinner!
